I run silk painting workshops on Thursday afternoons at my studio on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly for all ages.  You will learn how to mix and apply iron fix silk paints and produce a beautiful scarf with a freehand painting technique. On Anglesey: H'Artworks Gallery runs classes regularly in silk painting, silk scarf dyeing, batik, textile art, tie painting, glass painting, watercolours and pastels.
Anne can take groups of up to twelve comfortably
and offers half or full days for groups or individuals in
the old chapel where the Gallery is based, as well as regular classes.
The sessions are tailored for individual needs and can accommodate all ages and abilities including children and family groups. Birthday parties for the young and young at heart a speciality.
Anne is also available for demonstrations and talks further afield and community art projects.

Painting on silk is a wonderful way to produce vibrant glowing art works whether in the form of paintings, scarves, cushion-covers, clothing or wall-hangings. Learn all the necessary techniques and options, the dyes and how to handle them, the different kinds of frame, the use of resist.

Classes are on Fridays from 10.30 to 1.00 at The Pavilion, Broomhall Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire, SL5 0QS.

Isabella runs a variety of courses in shibori and wax-resist using steam-fixed dyes. She also teaches the use of natural dyes on silk, including shibori with natural indigo.
